iPad 2

A teenage boy in China sold his kidney for the new iPad 2.  He says that he did it because he didn't have the money to get one.  He got 22,000 dollars for his organ.  I don't think that the iPad is worth giving up a kidney that you might need later on in your life.  If theres something I really want I wouldn't give up a organ for it I would just work for it. I am not the most patient person in the world but I would wait to get the money for it or wait until it goes on sale.  I prefer to keep all my body parts inside my body where they belong, where they will be happy and not sold for money even though they don't have feelings.

Words

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Hzgzim5m7oU    When I watched this video I felt sad for the man because everybody was just passing by him.  As soon as the lady came and changed the sign I wanted to know what was on it.  I wanted to know what made everybody stop and help.  I didn't know how much words could change something until I saw this.

Football

Many people are big Brett Farve fans.  On his website he said he will never play for the NFL ever again.  He said "I am enjoying retirement and the time with my family."  He retired from the Packers in 2008.  I don't really care if he plays again or not because I am not a Brett Farve fan.  Have a great rest of your life Mr. Farve.

Fake Money

A man tried to pass a fake 100 dollar bill at the drive-thru one early Thursday morning.  The man paid for a six dollar chicken sandwhich with an 100 dollar bill.  The woman at the register said the bill did not feel right and called the police.  But she told the man she was waiting on his fries.  I don't think that was logical to pay with an 100 dollar bill because that would make me suspicious right away.  If he was going to use the fony bill he shoud of at least used it at a grocery store or something.  But even if it was the right time to use a 100 dollar bill he would of still got caught because buisnesses have these markers that can tell if it is a real bill or not.Customer Tries To Pass Phony $100 Bill At McDonald's

Angry Birds

A big fan of angry birds made a real-life angry birds game.  He made pumpkins look like the birds and the pigs.  It takes about an hour to set up each level.  He uses barrels and hay bales in them.  Thats a pretty cool idea to me.

Lego Man

A misterious giant lego man washed up on a beach in Florida.  He is 100 lbs. and eight feet tall.  It is not the first time a lego man washed up on shore.  The only differences between the lego men is the shirts.  That would be something strange to stumble apon.  I would want to see this eight foot 100 pound man in person.

400 pine trees curved at the bottom.  It might be weird stumbelling across them.  These trees that are located in Poland are not good for lumber so lumberjacks don't cut them down.  It is amazing that these trees naturally grew like this.  I would love to see these amazing trees in person.  How did these form like this?  What caused them to grow like this.  These are all questions that are yet to be answered.

The Hamburgaler

On Monday Madison police arrested a man for holding a couple at gunpoint after they left a McDonalds.  The man wanted money.  When the people told him that they didn't have any he made them drive to an ATM.  The woman jumped out of the car when the man jumped in the back seat and faught with the suspect.  I don't think that it is worth it to do all of that just to get some money.

Homeless

Homelessness can effect anybody anywhere with the growing unemployment rate.   Florida has one third of America's homeless people.  CBS News interviewed some homeless families in Florida who have to live in their cars.  One family, 2 kids and a dad lived in their truck trying to fit in at school every day.  Another familiy has 3 kids and both of their parents.  Their dad sits outside on a cooler protecting his family from robbers or other dangers.  He feels like he has failed as a father, not being able to provide for his wife and kids, but I think he is not a failure because every night no matter how tired he is he stays up just to make sure they are safe.  I don't know about him but I would rather have a dad that is going to keep me safe than one who gives up because all thats left in the cooler is one orange.  It makes you think and hopefully appreciate how lucky you are to have a bed to sleep in every night and have food whenever you would like.  I wish luck to all the homeless people out there and I want them to know it will be ok.  Mabey not today, and mabey not tomorrow but it will get better if you have hope.

Black Friday

On black friday 2011 in Los Angeles, a woman pepper sprayed about 20 people for an x-box.  She got out before the police came.  Was it really worth all that trouble just to get one, I don't think so.

Cash for Good Grades

If you got paid for good grades, do you think you would do better in school?  Some schools in Virgina Beach are.  Students usually end up getting $20 per test.  Students seem to be doing a better job at their school work if they are getting paid as appose to not.  I would like to get paid for a's on tests.

Giraffes

Have you ever wondered how giraffes drink with their giant necks?  Probably not because it is a very random subject.  Giraffes have these special blood vains in thir neck, so that the blood doesn't rush to their heads too quickly and they don't pass-out.  they also need to spread out their legs to drink because they are so tall.  I think thats pretty interesting.

Opening Weekend for Deer Hunting

On the opening weekend for deer hunting in Madison, hunters killed 112,580 deer.  That is up 5.6 percent from the number of deer shot last year.  603,919 gun deer licences were bought, 99,998 bought on friday alone.  Hunters this year shot 6,000 more deer than last year.

Expensive Golf Corse

Dutch Docklands, a player in the world of floating technologies, has announced plans to build a $500 million floating golf course off the Maldives coast.  This golf corse is literally atop the Indian Ocean.  The concept is a series of man-made islands with one or more holes on each, linked by transparent undersea tunnels.  It sounds like a pretty cool thing to do.  Golfers walk or ride through these submerged pathways, while looking at the sea life around them.  At half a billion dollars, it will be by far the most expensive golf course ever built.  If I had a enough money to go I would definately go.  I like this idea, it was very creative.

Abandoned Child

A western Wisconsin woman who was convicted of abusing her 1-year-old daughter back in 1998 has been convicted again, for depriving that same girl of food and clothing.  The girl is now 14 and was sometimes locked out of the house and given no food.  Elise L. Will, 36, pleaded no contest and was found guilty Friday of a felony count of being party to abandonment of the girl.  Will will serve 90 days in jail as part of three years' probation.  Locking a child out of a house and giving little food deserves a little more punishment especially because this is the second time she has gotton caught.

Gold Cheese

Image of World's most expensive cheese - it has gold in it
The worlds most expensive cheese actually has gold in it.   It costs £60.87 per 100g slice and £608 a kilo.   Clawson Stilton Gold is made from premium white Stilton and shot-through with a combination of real edible gold leaf and real gold-liqueur.  The cheese makers in Britan wanted to create something unique and origanal. Thats pretty origanal to me.  They wanted to create something for the Christmas market.  I think it is funny that they would make a cheese with gold in it.  I wonder how many customers they expect to have, because you would have to be rich to want to spend £60.87 on a slice of cheese.
